What is Empty Realms (Kore Noa)
Waking up in a tower, a kiwi by the name of Ru realizes he’s not where he belongs. With some knowledge of where Ru is at, he discovers a portal that should have taken him home.This begins Ru’s journey across various realms, from cybernetic Andros, to the wastelands of Cinedelum, to the haunted ship of Yr Myfanwy. Along the way, Ru befriends the locals to help support him on his journey to home. Join Ru on a journey by helping others and finding home
again, and again.
What is the story like?
The story's themes are grief, friendship, and moving on. Grief has been present in my life often, and not always portrayed as a long term thing. It's resolved quick or discarded. There was never anything that showed people moving on from it. It took me years to do that, especially with relationships. I'm hoping that Empty Realms can be that feeling understood and knowing that there's more beyond the cycle of grief.
Meet the Cast
Ru
Our main protagonist of the story. Over the course of the story, he will adventure throughout the realms in search of home.
Despite being powerless, he does his best to help others.
Olivier Laine
A cyborg from the realm of Andros, a gritty cyberpunk city broken into 9 sectors. Ever since he became a cyborg, Olivier has lost his voice and has desired one since.
The truth of what Olivier truly desires is buried in a past he tries to forget.
Sebastian "Bastian" Perseus
A robot from the realm of Cinedelum, a wasteland filled with sinking buildings that used to tear the skies. As the last remaining robot from the war, Bastian protects the town in exchange for being close to civilization.
He firmly believes that someday, like his brothers and sisters, he will explode and destroy the town.
Camilla Marion
A ghost who haunts the realm of Yr Myfanwy (Urh Muh-VAN-wee), a ship forever to set sail on the high seas. Camilla doesn't remember anything from her past, only that the shadows have clues to her past.
Although the shadows may have clues, they may not be the answer to being at peace.
Lea Hua
The empress of Adrenea, the realm that Ru comes from. Upon the death of her family, she has set forth in trying her best to oversee her new empire.
With the nuisance that is Ru running around and breaking everything, she is determined to vanquish him. Even though he's the key to fixing everything.
